LAURA TAVORMINA
Guitar Teacher
Laura Tavormina is a passionate and dedicated music educator with a rich
background in teaching and performance. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Belgium and a master’s in education in the arts from the
Netherlands, which have equipped her with a deep understanding of both the
technical and creative aspects of music. Laura's primary instrument is the cello, an instrument she has mastered over the years, while her love for music also led her to explore the piano, voice and most recently, guitar.

With over a decade of experience teaching music, Laura has had the pleasure of
working with students of all ages.
​
Currently, Laura serves as the choral director at Christiansburg Middle School,
where she channels her enthusiasm for music into leading vibrant and engaging
choral performances. Her love for musicals further enriches her teaching, bringing an extra layer of creativity and excitement to her work.
​
In 2024, Laura joined the Renaissance Music Academy where the teaches guitar and continues to inspire students with her dedication to music education. She is committed to lifelong learning and has completed training for the beginner level in Suzuki guitar at the Hartt School of Music.
